Hey you guys, last night we were DUMPED on! We got 14 inches at the base and 24 inches at the top! It's incredible! I went down Hayburner this morning and it was unreal! I was in above me knees!
Just check out how much snow we got!
Tonight groomers are working ALL NIGHT to get the terrain groomed out and in prime condition for this holiday weekend! I STRONGLY recommend that you and your family come up for some quality time on the slopes... especially after all of tomorrow's turkey and pie eating!

Thank you for the suggestions and I will certainly take them to heart. Please know that there is never any intention to mislead anyone, and yesterday we were merely trying to convey how much snow we received up on the mountain, even when almost all of the state was receiving rain. I think we can all agree that a storm like that, this early in the season is awesome and sets us up incredibly well for the rest of the season. Thanks again for your comments and suggestions - they are always welcome and they will always be heard.
Please realize that we're not all pessimistic people (I'm quite the opposite in fact), but if you only give a sugarcoated version of what the conditions are like you'll find a dwindling fan base. I'm with 3pin, this snow is a great base, and I'm thrilled that we have this for when the next storm comes along, but don't sell it as knee deep powder.
I just got back from the mountain and I wanted to give an accurate report. Early season snow is great no matter how much we get or what density it is, but please give a true report. The conditions today were hard and fast on the only groomed trail tote. Hayburner and Kings had about a 2 inch crust on it. If you were lucky you did not break through. When you did break through you really had to work to pop and make another turn. I think the only way you could have been knee deep is if you took off your board/skis and tried to walk down the trail.
This snow will be a great base and I am real excited that we got it. With a little help from the groomers and snow makers, the trail count can increase dramatically.
I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail?

Ethan,
Can you please clarify how access will be gained to the new gladed area? I understand that you can access most of it via the top of King Pine, but what about at the bottom? My understanding is that for now is that this area is accessible by…
Anyone up there ever thought about putting a disc golf course on the mountain for use in the summer time. Alot of ski resorts are doing this now and sugarloaf would be a great place for a course. Just an idea wondering what everyone else thought abo…
