What can I say... today was the best opening day ever! Everyone agrees. If you missed it, I am so sorry but, on the bright side, conditions will be great again tomorrow. In fact, we are making more snow on Candy Side and Upper Tote Road tonight and all 5 open trails will be freshly groomed by the time the chair lift starts to load in the morning.

I also hear that the mini park we have set up on Tote Road is AWESOME! People were really enjoying it today. I didn't get a chance to play around there that much but, I am going to try to find some free time tomorrow. It could be scary, I haven't tried doing a rail in 4 years... (scary for me... entertaining for all of you to watch.)

We're trying our best to get Hayburner open but it looks like that won't happen until Sunday so... keep your fingers crossed. We are also going to start blowing snow on Stomping Grounds today.

I've put together a little opening day video for ya'll. I still can't get over how incredible the conditions were.

Oh... and don't forget the Tin Mountain Round Up tomorrow and Sunday. It's for such a great cause, especially this year. A lot of local families need the support and help right now in order to make it through this winter. If you aren't firmiliar with the Round Up, here's how it works, bring in 3 cans of food and you get a lift ticket for $25 dollars AND all the food helps out local families. It isn't limited to just three, you can bring in AS MANY cans as you want!

Check ya later and see you on the slopes tomorrow... I hope:) I would HATE for anyone to miss these prime conditions.

Lizzy

I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail? Mtnbrew

Does anyone know what the impact to the cross-country trails and the dog trail above Snowbrook will be? Will we still be able to hike Burnt in Winter?
