the rule for glades, since Patrol obviously doesn't rope them off (with the exception of Can't Dog) is that you have to be able to enter and exit on to an open trail from the glade, so I guess the best answer to this is know whats open and what isn'…
yeah dude. i believe that you should be allowed to ski out of bounds at your own risk without having your pass clipped. ( im pretty sure you get clipped for going out of bounds not sure though)
i really want to know this too. for example, hiking up a trail from a mid mountain run, even if you are unaware of its condition (roped off) at the top, or if you are popped out on a closed trail from an open glade. And also pertaining to hiking to…
not to beat a dead horse in this discussion but im wondering what the EXACT sugarloaf rule is in regards to out of bounds terrain. me and some friends were skiing to the salsa shack when 2 ski patrolers pulled out in front of us and asked where we w…
I LOVE the idea of a T bar, it would be inexpensive not subject to windholds and would keep the "joeys" off of the summit. I hike to the summit from top of the superquad probably 4 times a year just to get tracks on white nitro ext, i wouldn't even…
Skiing on T2 upper only, Downloading was slow and strange for skiers, we also noticed (the team that went out there) frequent sudden stops where snow would turn to grass causing skiers to fall or lurch unexpectedly and we all know skis don't like gr…
Sunday river was planning on opening for October 31st UPPER locke only as a halloween thing, only 5 1\2 hours and downloading on the Locke Triple, after that they would close again until they resumed full winter operations november 15th or so, our l…
Yes its true if you have seen my mug at a mountain then there's a very good chance your on my videos/photos for my stories. You see i am not just a normal loafer or skier, i work for NCR Media which is hired to do stories and promotions on ski resorts during the winter months. If you have seen me with a camera i most likely saw (and captured) you.
I am one of a crew of 7 of us who sneak from resort to mountain and back sometimes announced, and sometimes not (shhhhhhh)
It didnt take long for our company to realize we needed our own place on the web to show off our stuff, and after seeing how good of a job the loaf did we used the same technology to create

These creatures growl loudly and when they come near are almost always shrouded in a powdery smokescreen to evade threats.
If you happen to be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures as they scratch not one or two but every tr… Continue
This is more of a photo blog then anything else but it is a dedication to the snowfields we all know and love, and try so hard to ski during the season.

I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail?

Ethan,
Can you please clarify how access will be gained to the new gladed area? I understand that you can access most of it via the top of King Pine, but what about at the bottom? My understanding is that for now is that this area is accessible by…
Anyone up there ever thought about putting a disc golf course on the mountain for use in the summer time. Alot of ski resorts are doing this now and sugarloaf would be a great place for a course. Just an idea wondering what everyone else thought abo…
