Hang on, Sugarloaf/USA may have to come back to distinguish it from a now-shuttered (but under consideration for possible purchase and re-opening) Michigan resort called "Sugar Loaf" or "Sugarloaf". Just read about this is the Cherry Republic News f…

Why "used" equipment for a 4 Star resort?

Agreed. Dennis, are you a Sugarloafer or not? Good Grief...what a lot of whining! Sugarloaf is a very special place...not for whiners! However, a new Gondi would be nice!

PortraIts in the baselodge...that's a nice idea...I'd certainly like to see that rather than no recognition at all of what Bode did.

I agree that, in general, achievements should be noted. However, to counter, has Bode offered his name to Sugarloaf, or do much in the name of CVA? The Mount Washington Valley has him tagged already, and has noted his achievements. And yes, I suppo…

While I understand your retincense to appear to be capitalizing on Bode's success (a lovely Maine trait of not wishing to impose on others), my thought was simply to acknowledge his wonderful success...Bode DID train here on comp hill for a long tim…

Because it's already been done. Bretton Woods had him as the Director of Skiing, and continues to pay homage to him. Cannon, meanwhile, lays claim to him as it is his hometown. For Sugarloaf to suddenly go, "Hey! He's ours too," it merely looks like…

Sorry you feel that way. Bode was at CVA for several years...CVA claims him as it should. He trained here, not in Franconia...what he did in this Olympics was fabulous...even NBC did a short special on his performance last night...he won more medals…

"ON Sugarloaf"

I'm not sure how to say this without offending "Greg", the WSKI spokesperson, BUT....the only other person I ever heard saying things about "when I'm ON Sugarloaf" was Picabo Street and we all know she wasn't a local...I am not happy with someone who ostensibly speaks for Sugarloaf sounding like "someone from away"! Has anyone else noticed this? Please advise.

Thanks, Bonnie

I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail? Mtnbrew

Ethan, Can you please clarify how access will be gained to the new gladed area? I understand that you can access most of it via the top of King Pine, but what about at the bottom? My understanding is that for now is that this area is accessible by…

Does anyone know what the impact to the cross-country trails and the dog trail above Snowbrook will be? Will we still be able to hike Burnt in Winter?

Anyone up there ever thought about putting a disc golf course on the mountain for use in the summer time. Alot of ski resorts are doing this now and sugarloaf would be a great place for a course. Just an idea wondering what everyone else thought abo…
