So yesterday some friends and I hiked out to Adrenaline Rush, which was amazing. After a crazy run, we went to the Salsa Shack, only to find that someone had taken a knife to the sign and carved "ye olde TACO SHARK". This kinda sucks, not that a name is really THIS important, but its kind of like carving over a piece of history, right? And later that day I actually heard some kids calling the "taco shark". I might be making a big deal over nothing, but why would anyone change the sign?
At least it was an effing sick day.

I think the Shack should be taken down and moved. Too many people know about it and it is not respected.

Why would you want to take it down? If you think its not secret enough, build another one. Das how we do.

While at the loaf the other day i witnessed skiers who were at the backside snowfields (which are NOW OPEN) ski over the boundary and down into the trees, they kept mentioning the salsa shack, but all i could see was a forest below, I know it seems odd but where is this place and how might someone get there, and more importantly GET BACK to the loaf.

I have talked with some staff at the loaf and they have told me there was talk of sugarloaf tearing this place down, but i guess it resides on private property so they cannot do that, but it seems to be a local legend, anyone care to PM me with a way to see this place for myself!

thanks so much, seems like there are even some secrets about the laof i dont know!

I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail? Mtnbrew

Ethan, Can you please clarify how access will be gained to the new gladed area? I understand that you can access most of it via the top of King Pine, but what about at the bottom? My understanding is that for now is that this area is accessible by…

Does anyone know what the impact to the cross-country trails and the dog trail above Snowbrook will be? Will we still be able to hike Burnt in Winter?
