Sugarloaf Community

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say that I'm really looking forward to this season. I've been glancing through the pics people have posted of the mtn, and it brings back so many great memories, and the promise of more to come! I can't wait until the first drive up this fall, where there is enough snow to ride!

My wife and I are going up this weekend for our 3rd anniversary (I proposed to her on a summer hike up Gondi Line 4 years ago, and we met through snowboarding, so Sugarloaf has always had even more special meaning for us), so I'll take some pics of what is going on up on the hill.

Time is winding down!

I can't wait for snow either. We just hiked up Sugar Loaf from the hiking trail up the back side of it, was a pretty sweet hike and totally recommend it. Have fun!

Great to see the stoke in here! Overnight temps will be in the 30s this week - it's feeling more and more like fall up here all the time. In case anyone missed it we added a countdown to opening day on the community homepage (see image below). See you up here this weekend Fred - Happy Anniversary!

Hi Ethan (or Lizzy!),
How are you doing?
I'll keep an eye out for you while we're up there. I'm sure we'll be cruising around the base lodge area on Sat after our climb. Thanks for the congrats. :)
I love the countdown meter, and have been watching it for a few days. Amazing how it's already getting close!
The stoke-o-meter is getting higher!

See you soon!

Hey Fred!

I'll be at the loaf this coming weekend for a wedding! I have a brand new pair (ha) of vintage ladies 170 straight edge skis for the season and believe me.. my closet of vintage ski wear is just itching to be worn!

With the chill in the air... I think the 'loafer inside of us all is getting giddy...

I have a question on how far down the mountain phase 1 will go. The map shows it all the way to Snowbrook /lower part of Woody Creek. Is this really where it will end or will it somehow end onto the Stubb's Glase condo access trail? Mtnbrew

Does anyone know what the impact to the cross-country trails and the dog trail above Snowbrook will be? Will we still be able to hike Burnt in Winter?

Anyone up there ever thought about putting a disc golf course on the mountain for use in the summer time. Alot of ski resorts are doing this now and sugarloaf would be a great place for a course. Just an idea wondering what everyone else thought abo…
